The recall includes certain packages of fresh yellow and white peaches under the Moonlight brand and some Kroger yellow peaches. The affected peaches were sold at major retailers across the country between September 16, 2025, and October 29, 2025, with a facility code of P1. Consumers should look for peaches with a facility code of P1 and specific lot codes listed by the FDA. Symptoms of listeria infection can manifest within a day of consuming contaminated food and may include gastrointestinal issues. Severe cases can lead to more serious complications, especially in vulnerable groups like young children, elderly individuals, pregnant people, and those with weakened immune systems. Pregnant individuals are particularly at risk of severe outcomes, including miscarriage or life-threatening infections in newborns.
If you suspect you have consumed the recalled peaches and are experiencing symptoms of listeria infection, it is advisable to seek medical attention. Certain foods, such as deli meats and certain cheeses, are known to carry a higher risk of listeria contamination. Stay informed about food recalls and take necessary precautions to protect yourself and your family from potential health risks associated with listeria exposure.
