Harvard University Police and the FBI are currently searching for two individuals in connection with an explosion that occurred at Harvard Medical School. The incident took place in the Goldenson Building on Longwood Avenue in Boston early Saturday morning. Fortunately, no injuries were reported as a result of the explosion, which triggered a fire alarm. Two suspects were seen fleeing the scene by a Harvard police officer, and the school has released images of the suspects wearing sweatshirts with their faces obscured.

The Boston Fire Department has indicated that the explosion was likely deliberate. Following a thorough search of the building by Boston Police, no additional explosive devices were discovered, and the structure remained undamaged. Harvard Medical School confirmed that all laboratories and equipment were unaffected by the incident. Despite the unsettling event, the school assured that there was no ongoing threat to public safety and classes resumed as scheduled on Monday.

In response to the explosion, Harvard police have heightened security measures on the medical school campus, located in close proximity to Boston Children's Hospital and Brigham and Women's Hospital. Individuals with any information regarding the incident are urged to contact the Harvard University Police Department's detective bureau at (617) 495-1796.
