Title: "Survey Reveals Two-Thirds of Americans Believe Country Heading in Wrong Direction

A recent poll conducted by ABC News, The Washington Post, and Ipsos reveals that two-thirds of Americans believe the country is heading in the wrong direction. The survey, conducted last week, shows that 67 percent of respondents feel that the country has veered off course, while 32 percent believe things are generally on the right track. The data also highlights a significant partisan divide, with Democrats and independents expressing more pessimism compared to Republicans.

The survey indicates that a majority of Black, Hispanic, Asian, and white Americans share the sentiment that the country is moving in the wrong direction. The findings show a decrease in this perception since November 2024, just before the election, when 75 percent of respondents felt the country was off track. Despite these concerns, respondents feel that both political parties are out of touch with the concerns of most Americans.

The Democratic Party is perceived as more out of touch, with 68 percent of respondents holding this view, while only 30 percent see it as in touch with people's concerns. Similarly, 61 percent view the Republican Party as out of touch, with 37 percent considering it in touch. The survey also reveals that a majority of respondents believe former President Trump is out of touch with the concerns of most Americans.

The survey was conducted from October 24-28 and included 2,725 adults, with a margin of error of 1.9 percentage points. The data underscores the prevailing sentiment among Americans that the country is not on the right track and that both major political parties are perceived as disconnected from the concerns of the general population.
