Despite being intimately familiar with Suzanne's appearance, having been together for over five decades before her passing in 2023, Hamel admitted that he struggled to differentiate between the real Suzanne and the AI robot. He explained that the AI robot was trained using Suzanne's extensive body of work, including her books and interviews, to ensure that it could accurately respond to any question posed to it.
Suzanne Somers passed away in October 2023 after a long battle with breast cancer. Her death was confirmed by her longtime publicist, R. Couri Hay, who stated that she had peacefully passed away at home surrounded by her loved ones.
