2025 Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA): Celebrating Global K-pop Excellence in Hong Kong

The 2025 Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) are set to return to Hong Kong after a hiatus since 2018. The event will take place on November 28-29 at Kai Tak Stadium for a two-day extravaganza. Nominations for the MAMA Awards were revealed on October 16 at 5 pm KST. The event is a collaboration between CJ ENM, Media Asia Group, and Rolemodel Entertainment Group Limited.
Fans now have the opportunity to vote for the MAMA Fans’ Choice award and other categories through the MNET+ app or a designated link. The voting process is divided into two rounds: Round 1 from October 16 to October 26, and Round 2 from October 30 to November 10.
The MAMA Awards, originally launched in 1999 as Korea’s first music video ceremony by Mnet, have evolved into a global event known for celebrating the international reach of K-pop music. Over the years, the awards have been held in various countries, including Macao, Singapore, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Japan, and the U.S., showcasing the global impact of K-pop and the unifying power of music.
The nominees for the MAMA Awards include contenders for the prestigious daesangs (grand prizes) such as Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, and Song of the Year, as well as categories like Best Male Artist, Best Female Artist, Best Female Group, Best Male Group, Best Vocal Performance, Best Collaboration, Best Rap & Hip Hop, Best OST, Best Music Video, Best Choreography, Best Band Performance, Best Dance Performance, and Best New Artist.
