Taylor Swift Announces Two New Projects on Disney+ Related to Eras Tour

Taylor Swift made a big announcement on Good Morning America, revealing two new projects on Disney+ related to her Eras Tour. The first project is a six-part docuseries called The End of an Era, which provides an intimate look at Taylor's life during the tour. The first two episodes will premiere on Dec. 12, with two new episodes released weekly. Additionally, Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour: The Final Show, a live recording of her last performance on the tour, will also premiere on Dec. 12, featuring songs from her album The Tortured Poets Department.
This announcement follows the release of Taylor's 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, on Oct. 3. The album broke records on Spotify and was accompanied by an exclusive experience in AMC movie theaters called The Official Release Party of a Showgirl. Fans are eagerly awaiting Taylor's re-recordings of her self-titled first album and Reputation, along with unreleased vault tracks from those albums.
Despite speculation that Taylor might announce a new tour, she revealed during an interview on BBC Radio 1 that she has no plans for a tour anytime soon. After wrapping up her Eras Tour in December 2024, which was a massive success, Taylor expressed that she is currently focused on other projects and not ready to embark on another tour. She described the tour as a thrilling chapter in her life and credited her fans for making it a memorable experience.
While Taylor is not planning a tour, she is busy planning her wedding to Travis Kelce, to whom she got engaged in August 2025. With the release of The Life of a Showgirl, Taylor is now turning her attention to wedding planning. She has expressed excitement about this next stage of her life and is looking forward to taking a break from work to focus on her wedding. Taylor has also been supporting Kelce at his football games, showing her dedication to both her career and personal life.
