Pooh Shiesty's Early Release: A Look at His Return to the Music Scene

Pooh Shiesty, the 24-year-old Memphis rapper, made a return to the public eye this week following his early release from federal prison. He had been serving a 63-month sentence for his involvement in a 2020 shooting in Florida tied to drug-related crimes. Despite his original release date being set for April 2026, he was able to leave prison after serving around three years for conspiracy to possess firearms in connection with violent activities. The news of his early release has generated excitement on social media, especially after videos emerged of him enjoying a welcome-home party on Monday night.

At the celebratory event, Pooh Shiesty was seen surrounded by friends, posing for photos in front of a "welcome home" sign, and flaunting stacks of cash alongside fellow Memphis rappers Big30 and K Carbon. The trio's Instagram posts hinted at the possibility of new music being in the works, as they appeared to be filming a music video during the gathering. While the U.S. Bureau of Prisons has not officially confirmed the specifics of his release, there are reports suggesting that Pooh Shiesty may now be residing in a halfway house.

The incident that led to Pooh Shiesty's imprisonment occurred in October 2020 at the Landon Hotel in Bay Harbor Islands, Florida. Allegedly, Shiesty and two others had arranged a meeting to purchase marijuana and designer sneakers, which ultimately resulted in a violent altercation. One individual was shot in the buttocks during the encounter, leading to Shiesty facing charges of armed robbery and aggravated assault.
