Rascal Flatts embarked on a new project called Life Is a Highway: Refueled Duets, where they reimagined their classic hits and songs from their repertoire. Unexpectedly, they collaborated with the Jonas Brothers on a new song called “I Dare You.” The trio was initially planning to revisit their number one hits, but the opportunity to work on a fresh track excited them. This collaboration marked their return to the studio after five years, and they found the song to be particularly special. Nick Jonas, one of the co-writers of “I Dare You” along with Shay Mooney from Dan + Shay, suggested the song as an addition to the album. The decision turned out to be a success, as the song has now become a top-20 hit. Rascal Flatts will resume their reunion tour on January 15 in Raleigh, North Carolina.
