Teenagers with Machetes Cause Chaos in Brooklyn: Arrested After Violent Altercation
Two teenagers were captured on video brandishing large machetes on a Brooklyn street in broad daylight. The incident, which took place in Borough Park, involved one boy in a red hoodie and another in a black hoodie, both armed with machetes. The boys were seen running off into the street after being spotted by members of the Boro Park Shomrim volunteer patrol. During the altercation, one of the teens stabbed an 18-year-old man in the back and slashed him on the hip. They also threatened a 26-year-old man with a machete at a different location. The NYPD and Shomrim members apprehended the teens, who were later charged with gang assault, assault, and criminal possession of a weapon. The 18-year-old victim was taken to Maimonides Medical Center and was reported to be in stable condition. Thanks to the quick response of the Shomrim members, a machete was recovered, and the teenagers were arrested.
