Lady Gaga's 'The Dead Dance': A Spooky Collaboration with Tim Burton for Wednesday Season 2

Lady Gaga recently released her new song "The Dead Dance" to coincide with the premiere of Part 2 of Netflix's Wednesday Season 2. The track, co-written by Lady Gaga, Andrew Watt, and Henry Walter, was also co-produced by Gaga, Watt, and Cirkut. The music video for the song, directed by Tim Burton, features Gaga navigating a spooky set filled with doll heads and body parts.

In addition to the song and video release, Lady Gaga unveiled the deluxe edition of her 2025 album Mayhem, which includes "The Dead Dance" along with two previously-released tracks: "Kill for Love" and "Can't Stop the High." These bonus tracks were initially exclusive to specialty editions of the album.

Lady Gaga takes on the role of the ghost of Rosaline Rotwood, a deceased professor at the Nevermore Academy, in the second half of Season 2 of Wednesday. Gaga expressed her excitement about working on the series, praising her experience with Tim Burton, Jenna Ortega, and the rest of the cast. She confirmed the release of her song "The Dead Dance" during her time on the show.

Season 2, Part 2 of Wednesday also features Gwendoline Christie, Hunter Doohan, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzman, and Isaac Ordonez. Fans can watch the music video for "The Dead Dance" to get a glimpse of Lady Gaga's haunting performance.
