Controversial Trump and Epstein Statue Removed from National Mall by U.S. Park Police

A controversial statue depicting President Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein holding hands and skipping appeared on the National Mall but was swiftly removed by U.S. Park Police. The statue, which celebrated their supposed friendship, was taken down early Wednesday morning, despite having a permit to remain until Sunday. The permit allowed for revocation with a 24-hour notice, and the statue had full-time security. Trump has tried to distance himself from Epstein, but evidence suggests they were close. Epstein died in jail while facing sex trafficking charges in 2019.
