Thomas St. John Firm Responds to DJ Calvin Harris' Embezzlement Accusations: Project Progress and Legal Battle Unfold

A well-known accounting firm, Thomas St. John, has responded to DJ Calvin Harris' accusations of embezzling $22 million from him. The firm refuted the claims and stated that no money had been misappropriated, all investor entitlements were secure, and the project in question was progressing as planned. The development at the heart of the dispute is expected to reach a $1 billion valuation and will offer significant benefits to the Hollywood community and investors. Situated at Sunset and Highland, the project will feature over 700 residential units and various creative and retail spaces. Despite delays due to high interest and city regulations, the development remains on track according to the firm.

Harris, one of nine investors in the project, had allegedly signed investment agreements and sought to increase his involvement. The firm emphasized that any insinuation of wrongdoing was false and vowed to defend its reputation against baseless attacks. In court filings, Harris accused Thomas St. John of orchestrating a scheme to defraud him of $22 million by involving him in the CMNTY Culture Campus project without full disclosure. The project, which began in 2020, required additional funding in 2023, leading to Harris' substantial financial contributions.

The DJ claimed he was kept in the dark about the project's details and expressed concerns about the whereabouts of his investments. His legal team characterized the project as either a mismanaged venture or a deliberate deception. Harris' dispute with Thomas St. John comes after he clarified rumors of a feud with Miley Cyrus over an unreleased song called "Ocean." Despite teasing a release with another artist, Harris denied any animosity with Cyrus.
