The Life of a Showgirl: Taylor Swift's Official Release Party at AMC Theatres
Taylor Swift is set to make a return to the big screen with the release of her 12th studio album, "The Life of a Showgirl," on October 3. AMC Theatres will be hosting a special release party for the album, titled "The Official Release Party of a Showgirl," which will be shown at all 540 AMC theaters in the U.S. from October 3 to October 5. The event will also be available in Mexico, Canada, and Europe.
Swift teased the event on Instagram, encouraging fans to dust off their Eras Tour outfits and orange cardigans for the occasion. The album follows her successful "The Tortured Poets Department" release and her record-breaking tour, which became the highest-grossing tour of all time, generating over $2.2 billion across two years and five continents.
In collaboration with AMC Theatres, Swift will be premiering a music video for one of the album tracks, "The Fate of Ophelia," along with behind-the-scenes footage and personal reflections on the songs. Tickets for the event can be purchased online.
"The Life of a Showgirl" marks Swift's first release since regaining control of her entire catalog of recordings. She acquired the rights to her first six albums from private equity firm Shamrock Capital earlier this year. Additionally, Swift's fiancé, Travis Kelce, and his brother, Jason Kelce, helped promote the album by featuring her on their podcast "New Heights" in August. The couple announced their engagement shortly after.
