Temporary Closure of New Hope-Lambertville Bridge for Maintenance Work

The New Hope-Lambertville Bridge will undergo a partial daytime weekday closure for approximately two weeks. Beginning on Monday, September 15, New Jersey-bound traffic will be restricted from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. Drivers heading to New Jersey will be detoured to the nearby Route 202 New Hope-Lambertville Toll Bridge in the non-tolled northbound direction.

During the closure, the bridge will remain open for Pennsylvania-bound traffic and pedestrians using the walkway. The bridge will be fully open to both pedestrians and vehicles in both directions during nights and weekends. The closure is necessary for the installation of a temporary under-bridge platform, which will be used to inspect and potentially service electrical-supply components on the bridge.

The Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission announced the closure in a press release. The temporary platform installation is part of ongoing maintenance work on the bridge. The closure is expected to last for two weeks, with New Jersey-bound traffic being redirected to the nearby Route 202 New Hope-Lambertville Toll Bridge during weekdays.
