Ed Sheeran Talks Space Travel, Posthumous Album, and More in Recent Interview

Ed Sheeran recently shared that he had been offered the chance to perform the "first gig in space" during an interview on BBC Radio 2. The 34-year-old singer expressed his fear of space travel and stated that he would rather explore places on Earth like Greenland. Sheeran mentioned that he was not willing to be a guinea pig for space travel and emphasized the importance of being there for his children.
In addition to discussing his space travel offer, Sheeran also talked about his plans for a posthumous album called Eject and his upcoming move to America. He praised his friend Lewis Capaldi for returning to the stage after a break and overcoming challenges related to his Tourette syndrome. Sheeran highlighted Capaldi's renewed passion for performing and expressed his support for his friend's decision to take time off.
Born in Halifax, West Yorkshire, Sheeran moved to Suffolk as a child and has been a minority shareholder in Ipswich Town football club since last year. Despite the club's relegation from the Premier League in the 2024-2025 season, Sheeran remains involved with the team. With numerous chart-topping singles and albums to his name, including hits like The A Team and Sing, Sheeran continues to be a prominent figure in the music industry.
