Seattle Man Pleads Not Guilty to Celebrity Burglaries and Escape Charges

A 29-year-old man in Seattle, Patrick Maisonet, has pleaded not guilty to ten felony crimes related to a series of celebrity burglaries. Prosecutors allege that Maisonet was armed during the burglaries and used WIFI blockers to prevent calls to 911. Maisonet has a criminal history dating back to 2009, including assaults and burglaries, and was involved in a high-profile shooting and carjacking in 2016.

Investigators had been pursuing Maisonet before the recent crime spree. He had cut off his ankle monitor in November after a burglary at a Bellevue jeweler, leading to a bench warrant being issued in December. Maisonet was charged with second-degree escape for violating his home monitoring requirements. Despite failing to appear at his arraignment in March, he was eventually booked into King County Jail on August 21 with a combined bail of $2.265 million, $1 million of which was for the celebrity crime spree.

Maisonet has also pleaded not guilty in the escape case and the Bellevue jewelry store case. The legal proceedings against him are ongoing, and he remains in custody at King County Jail.
