RM of BTS Celebrates 31st Birthday with Generous Donations to Seoul Hospitals
Korean singer RM, the leader of the popular boy band BTS, celebrated his 31st birthday by making generous donations totaling 200 million won (P8.21 million) to two prominent hospitals in Seoul, South Korea. RM expressed his desire to contribute to a meaningful cause on his birthday and hopes that his donation will assist patients in need of medical treatment but facing financial difficulties. Seoul Asan Medical Center and Korea University Medical Center will utilize the funds to support patients with treatment costs and enhance their medical services, respectively. This act of philanthropy is not new for RM, as he has previously made significant donations to various organizations, showcasing his commitment to giving back to the community.
RM's charitable contributions have extended beyond his recent donations to hospitals. Last year, while fulfilling his mandatory military service, RM donated a similar amount to the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs' "Campaign to Thank Uniformed Workers." Additionally, he has supported organizations like the Korean Society of Legal Medicine and the Overseas Korean Cultural Heritage Foundation in previous years. With all seven BTS members, including RM, having completed their military service, the group is currently focused on creating a new album, with their highly anticipated comeback scheduled for March 2026. RM's dedication to philanthropy and social causes reflects his commitment to making a positive impact on society and supporting those in need.
