In Loving Memory of Adele C. Kozak: A Life Well-Lived and Fondly Remembered

Adele C. Kozak, aged 91, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2025, at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport. She was born in New York City on August 26, 1934, to Joseph and Antoinette Haiducik Wengren. Adele lived in Huntington for 57 years and was a dedicated member of St. Lawrence Church. She worked as a bookkeeper at Peter Hebert Jewelers in Milford until her retirement in 1999. Known for her love of golf, she was a longtime member of Brownson Country Club and an original member of the Huntington Fire and Rescue Co.3 Ladies Auxiliary. Adele will be remembered for her strong Catholic faith, festive holiday gatherings, and unwavering love for her family.

She is survived by her children: Dorothy Bowler and husband Edmund, Carol Navarro, Mary Ann O’Connor and husband Michael, and Edward H. Kozak, Jr. and wife Sharna. Adele is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, an infant sister, and another sister. Family and friends can pay their respects on September 17, 2025, at the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home in Ansonia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Lawrence Church in Huntington, followed by interment at Huntington Lawn Cemetery.
