Tragic Death at Mulberry Mobile Home Park: Man Fatally Run Over During Party

A tragic incident occurred at a mobile home park in Mulberry, Florida, where a man lost his life after being run over by a van during a party. The Polk County sheriff's deputies responded to a call reporting the death of a 21-year-old man at the Willow Oak Mobile Home Park. The victim's injuries indicated that he had been struck by a vehicle.

The incident took place during a large party outside one of the trailers in the mobile home park. A witness reported that the victim was lying on the driveway when Ponciano Cinto-Ramirez, 52, reversed the van over him. Despite being alerted by partygoers, Cinto-Ramirez drove away and entered another trailer in the park.

Upon investigation, deputies found several individuals inside the trailer who refused to cooperate or provide information. It was later revealed that all six suspects involved were in the country illegally from Guatemala. Cinto-Ramirez was charged with leaving the scene of a crash involving death, driving without a license causing death, and resisting arrest. The other suspects faced charges of resisting arrest and providing false information to law enforcement.

Sheriff Grady Judd emphasized the seriousness of the charges, stating that ICE had placed holds on the suspects in hopes of deporting them back to Guatemala. The tragic incident serves as a reminder of the consequences of reckless behavior and the importance of cooperation with law enforcement in such situations.
