Rosie O'Donnell's Feud with Trump: Security Concerns, Graduation Miss, and Political Standoff

Rosie O’Donnell shared on a recent episode of the “No Filter” podcast that she had to miss her daughter’s college graduation due to security concerns related to her potential return to the United States amid an ongoing feud with Donald Trump. O’Donnell moved to Ireland after Trump was re-elected president last November. She mentioned that security advised her against attending the graduation, fearing that Trump would use her presence to incite his supporters.

The feud between O’Donnell and Trump has resurfaced in recent months, with Trump even suggesting on Truth Social that he would revoke O’Donnell’s citizenship, despite lacking the authority to do so. O’Donnell expressed her concerns about Trump’s behavior, stating that his actions have encouraged others to denigrate and humiliate people.

In an interview with Variety earlier this year, O’Donnell stated that she has no immediate plans to return to the United States due to the current political climate. She emphasized the need for accountability before considering a return. O’Donnell has been vocal in her criticism of Trump, expressing worries that his influence could impact shows like “The View” due to their differing views.

O’Donnell’s comments, particularly her mention of Joy Behar, drew a response from Trump’s White House spokesperson, Taylor Rogers, who dismissed both O’Donnell and Behar as irrelevant and criticized their focus on a failing talk show. The spokesperson suggested that the country is better off with O’Donnell living abroad and hinted at Behar following suit.
