Running with Harry Styles and Setting Records: Adele Roberts' Inspiring Journey in the World Marathon Major Races with a Stoma

Adele Roberts, a radio presenter and reality TV star, recently shared her experience of running alongside Harry Styles during her attempt to set a new world record for completing all World Marathon Major races with a stoma bag. She recounted how her stoma bag fell off during a race in Berlin, forcing her to run the last 15 kilometers while holding onto it. Despite the challenges, she achieved a record-breaking time of 20 hours, 29 minutes, and 58 seconds for completing all the races with a stoma.
During an interview on ITV's Good Morning Britain, Roberts recalled running with Harry Styles in Tokyo and initially mistaking him for a hot guy in a big top. She later realized it was the former One Direction star who had unknowingly paced her during the marathon. Roberts emphasized the importance of representing people who run with a stoma, as it is still a relatively new practice.
Reflecting on her journey, Roberts mentioned a race in Australia where she was able to create new, positive memories after her previous visit during her battle with bowel cancer. Running over the Sydney Harbour Bridge, she felt a sense of unity with other runners and appreciated the opportunity to rewrite her past experiences in the country.
Roberts' determination and resilience in overcoming challenges during the World Marathon Major races with a stoma bag serve as an inspiration to others facing similar obstacles. Her record-breaking achievement highlights the importance of representation and perseverance in the face of adversity.
