Taylor Swift and Beyoncé Compete for Record-Breaking 31st MTV VMA Award

Taylor Swift and Beyoncé are both vying for their 31st MTV Video Music Award this year. They are both nominated in the Artist of the Year category, the only nomination for each of them. Competing against artists like Bad Bunny, Kendrick Lamar, Lady Gaga, Morgan Wallen, and The Weeknd, Taylor and Beyoncé are the frontrunners in this category. A win by either of them would break the tie and put them at the top of the MTV VMA career list.
Last year, Taylor Swift won 7 VMAs to tie with Beyoncé at 30 awards each. However, Beyoncé still holds the record for the most career Grammy wins with 35. The fan voting for the MTV VMAs is currently open and will close tomorrow. The 2025 Video Music Awards show will be broadcast live from New York's UBS Arena this Sunday, with LL Cool J as the host. It remains to be seen if Taylor or Beyoncé will emerge as the winner and claim the top spot in the MTV VMA career list.
