Paris Jackson Sets the Record Straight on Her Involvement in Antoine Fuqua's Michael Jackson Biopic
Paris Jackson has refuted claims that she was involved in Antoine Fuqua's upcoming Michael Jackson biopic, despite recent comments from actor Colman Domingo. Domingo, who plays Joe Jackson in the film, stated that Paris had been "very helpful" to him and that both Paris and her brother Prince Jackson supported the film. However, Paris clarified that her involvement was limited to providing notes on an early draft of the script and that she had no actual involvement in the movie production.
In response to the comments made by Domingo, Paris took to Instagram to set the record straight, stating that she was not involved in the movie and found it strange that people were claiming she was. She mentioned that she had given her feedback on the script but had moved on when her concerns were not addressed. Paris emphasized that she had no part in the film and wished the production well.
Paris also shared her views on the biopic in a series of videos, expressing her belief that the film caters to a specific section of her father's fanbase and criticized it for inaccuracies and lies. She highlighted the importance of honesty over commercial success and revealed that she had only briefly interacted with Domingo, whom she referred to as "this man." Despite the delays in the film's release, Paris remains firm in her stance regarding her lack of involvement in the project.
The Michael Jackson biopic, titled "Michael," is set for release in April next year and features a cast that includes Jafar Jackson, Colman Domingo, Mia Long, Miles Teller, and Laura Harrier. Paris Jackson's clarification sheds light on her limited role in the production and her perspective on the film's portrayal of her father's legacy.
