Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery" Theatrical Release and Netflix Premiere Dates Announced

Netflix has announced a two-week theatrical release for the upcoming movie "Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery." The film will hit select theaters on Nov. 26 before premiering on Netflix on Dec. 12. Directed by Rian Johnson, the star-studded cast includes Daniel Craig, Josh O’Connor, Glenn Close, Josh Brolin, Mila Kunis, Jeremy Renner, Kerry Washington, Andrew Scott, Cailee Spaeny, Daryl McCormack, and Thomas Haden Church.
In this third installment of the "Knives Out" series, Benoit Blanc (Craig) takes on his most challenging case yet. When young priest Jud Duplenticy (O’Connor) is sent to assist Monsignor Jefferson Wicks (Brolin), a series of mysterious events unfold within the church community. With a murder that defies logic, local police chief Geraldine Scott (Kunis) teams up with detective Benoit Blanc to unravel the perplexing mystery.
Director Rian Johnson expressed his desire for a wider theatrical release for "Wake Up Dead Man," emphasizing the importance of reaching a larger audience through traditional cinema. While the first "Knives Out" film had a standard theatrical release, the 2019 sequel "Glass Onion" was acquired by Netflix and had a limited theatrical run before streaming on the platform. Johnson aims to maximize the film's exposure in theaters before its digital release.
"Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery" promises to captivate audiences with its thrilling storyline and stellar cast. Don't miss the opportunity to experience this suspenseful mystery on the big screen before it arrives on Netflix.
