Discover the World of Manta Rays: Exclusive Animal Spotlight Tour at Singapore Oceanarium

The Singapore Oceanarium at Sentosa has recently reopened with a larger space and a stunning glow-in-the-dark jellyfish tank. To commemorate World Manta Day on 17th September, the Oceanarium is offering an exclusive Animal Spotlight tour focusing on manta rays from 6th to 20th September 2025. This 45-minute tour allows a limited number of participants to meet the three resident male reef manta rays – Manja, Mako, and Mika, each with unique spot patterns. Visitors can observe the feeding process and learn more about these gentle giants' diet and behavior.

During the tour, guests will witness the aquarists feeding the manta rays and see them somersault in the water. The tour also includes a visit to the Aquarist Lab where plankton is cultured. Participants will receive a manta ray plush keychain and Animal Spotlight lanyard set as souvenirs. Additionally, visitors can enjoy themed bites and merchandise inspired by manta rays available at the Oceanarium's retail and dining outlets.

Special one-off programs are scheduled during the celebration, including storytelling sessions for children and a talk on manta and devil ray conservation by Daniel Fernando, Associate Director at Manta Trust. These activities aim to raise awareness about the threats faced by manta rays and how individuals can contribute to their protection. The tour encourages participants to reflect on the importance of marine conservation and sustainable practices.

To join the Animal Spotlight tour, visitors need to add $28 per person to their admission ticket. The tour is suitable for individuals aged 4 and above, with family-friendly activities such as mascot meet-and-greets and storytelling sessions available. The retail shops at the Oceanarium will offer manta-inspired goodies for all visitors during the celebration period. Don't miss the opportunity to learn about these fascinating creatures and support their conservation efforts at the Singapore Oceanarium.
