Coldplay Reschedules Wembley Stadium Shows Due to London Underground Strikes

Coldplay has rescheduled the final two dates of their 10-show series at Wembley Stadium due to strikes on the London Underground. The band cited the planned industrial action by the Rail, Maritime And Transport (RMT) union members as the reason for the rescheduling. The strikes are set to occur at different times from September 5 for seven days, making it impossible for the concerts to proceed on September 7 and 8. As a result, Coldplay had to move the show scheduled for September 7 to September 6 and the show on September 8 to September 12. The band expressed regret for any disappointment and inconvenience caused by the situation.
Tickets for the rescheduled dates will remain valid, but fans who are unable to attend can request a full refund before noon on September 2. Any returned tickets will be available for general sale starting at 11 am on September 3 through Ticketmaster. Despite the rescheduling of the final two shows, Coldplay confirmed that the concerts on August 30, August 31, September 3, and September 4 will proceed as planned. The band's Wembley Stadium run marks a significant milestone as they will be the first act to perform 10 shows at the national football stadium in a single year, surpassing the previous record held by Taylor Swift and Take That.
Coldplay's Music of the Spheres world tour has already showcased some of their popular songs like Paradise, Trouble, and We Pray. The band expressed their apologies for the unavoidable changes and emphasized their commitment to delivering an exceptional concert experience for their fans. Despite the challenges posed by the London Underground strikes, Coldplay remains dedicated to providing memorable performances for their audience.
