Man Arrested for Crashing Vehicle into Russian Consulate in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs
A man was apprehended for crashing a vehicle through the gates of the Russian Consulate in Sydney's eastern suburbs. The incident occurred when a suspicious vehicle was spotted in the consulate's driveway on Fullerton Street in Woollahra around 8 am on Monday. Law enforcement officers tried to communicate with the driver of the white SUV, but he proceeded to ram the vehicle through the consulate's gates and onto the premises. The 39-year-old suspect was detained and transported to Surry Hills Police Station. In the course of the police intervention, a 24-year-old police officer sustained a hand injury.
