Hybe Corporation's Financial Report: BTS Still Dominates Revenue Generation

Hybe Corporation has been striving to broaden its business scope and reduce its dependence on BTS, but recent financial data reveals that the company still heavily relies on its flagship group for driving profits. In August, Hybe announced a record-breaking quarterly revenue of 705.6 billion won ($504.4 million), with a substantial 63 percent of this revenue attributed to artist-driven events such as concerts and album sales, emphasizing the crucial role of performers in the company's growth.
Despite an 8.4% decline in overall album sales, a notable surge in live performance revenue contributed to Hybe's quarterly success. Concert earnings accounted for 26.7 percent of the company's total revenue, increasing by 31 percent year over year to 188.7 billion won. This growth in concert revenue played a significant role in driving Hybe's overall financial performance.
Additionally, Hybe generated 257.8 billion won, representing 37% of its total revenue, from indirect sources such as fan club memberships, merchandise sales, licensing, and digital content. While the company is making efforts to diversify its revenue streams, these figures underscore the continued importance of artist-related activities in Hybe's core revenue generation.
