Batman Pajama Hero: Neighbor Helps Capture Burglary Suspect in Florida

A man wearing Batman pajamas assisted the Cape Coral Police Department in apprehending a burglary suspect in Florida. The police responded to a home burglary in progress and found the suspect already subdued by the man in Batman pajamas. The man, identified as Kyle Myvett, was alerted by his security cameras of someone breaking into his truck while he was in bed. He confronted the suspect, Justin Schimpl, who was rummaging through his truck and then entered his neighbor's garage. Myvett detained Schimpl until the officers arrived.
Schimpl, a 20-year-old from North Fort Myers, was involved in multiple vehicle break-ins, including stealing items from Myvett's truck. The stolen items included Ray-Ban sunglasses, cash, a wristlet, and over $500 worth of gift cards. Schimpl claimed there was another accomplice, but no other suspect was found. He was arrested and faces charges of burglary of an unoccupied conveyance, petit theft, and burglary of an occupied dwelling.
The Cape Coral Police Department commended Myvett for his quick actions in apprehending Schimpl. The police department stated that thanks to the vigilant neighbor in Batman pajamas, another burglary suspect was taken off the streets.
