Powerball Jackpot Reaches $815 Million: 38th Consecutive Drawing Without a Winner

The Powerball jackpot has reached an impressive $815 million after no one claimed the grand prize in the latest drawing. This marks the 38th consecutive drawing without a jackpot winner since May 31. The winning numbers for the last drawing were 16, 19, 34, 37, 64, and the red Powerball 22, with a power play of 3.

Although the jackpot went unclaimed, two lucky tickets sold in Georgia and Texas matched all five white balls to win $1 million each. The next drawing is scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 27 at 10:59 p.m. ET. Powerball product group chair Matt Strawn expressed excitement about the colossal jackpot, which is now the 10th-largest in Powerball history.

The largest Powerball jackpot on record was a staggering $2.04 billion won in California in November 2022. Other notable payouts include a $1.765 billion prize claimed in California last October, a $1.586 billion jackpot split between winners in California, Florida, and Tennessee in January 2016, and a $1.326 billion prize won in Oregon in April this year. Only nine other Powerball jackpots have surpassed the current estimated prize.

Players can purchase $2 tickets in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million. Don't miss your chance to play for this massive jackpot!
