Exciting Events at OU: Soval Series, Beat Bevo Bash, and More!
The University of Oklahoma President Joseph Harroz Jr. introduced the Soval Series, a new program featuring three events on the South Oval, including a live concert by the three-time Grammy-nominated duo Dan + Shay. The Beat Bevo Bash will kick off at noon on Oct. 8 before the Red River Rivalry game against the University of Texas, offering Bevo burgers, free "Beat Texas" T-shirts, and fairground activities. Dan + Shay will perform during Homecoming week on Oct. 23 at 7 p.m., showcasing their award-winning songs. The annual holiday lights event will now take place on Nov. 19 at 6 p.m. on the South Oval.
President Harroz highlighted the record-breaking first-year student enrollment of 6,259 for the class of 2029, marking the fifth consecutive record-breaking class in university history.
