The Beatles Anthology 25: A Fresh Look at the Fab Four's Legacy

The iconic 'The Beatles Anthology' project is making a comeback in 2025 with a fresh book, album, and video. The original series, consisting of 'Anthology 1', 'Anthology 2', and 'Anthology 3', was released in the mid-90s, showcasing new music from the band post-John Lennon's passing. The new installment will feature a restored and remastered documentary series with a brand new Episode Nine, offering unseen behind-the-scenes footage of McCartney, Harrison, and Starr during the making of the original 'The Anthology'. This new episode will be exclusively available for streaming on Disney+ starting November 26.

Accompanying the documentary release is 'The Anthology Music Collection', curated by George Martin, which will be re-released as three double albums, remastered by Giles Martin. The collection will include a new 'Anthology 4' featuring previously unreleased demos and session recordings, along with new mixes of 'Free As A Bird' and 'Real Love'. Fans can access the collection digitally or opt for deluxe vinyl and CD box sets, set to be released on November 21.

In addition to the music releases, a new 'The Beatles Anthology Book – 25th Anniversary Edition' will hit the shelves on October 14. This book will offer candid insights from the four Beatles about their journey, as well as contributions from colleagues and collaborators like Neil Aspinall, George Martin, and Derek Taylor. Packed with 1,300 photos, documents, artwork, and memorabilia from the band's archives, this book promises to be a treasure trove for fans.

The original 'Anthology' project also included a snippet of a song called 'Now And Then', developed by Lennon in 1978. McCartney revealed in 2023 that he and Starr had used AI to save the track, received from Yoko Ono in 1994, and officially released it. Furthermore, fans can look forward to exploring John Lennon and Yoko Ono's NYC era and political activism in the upcoming box set 'Power To The People', while McCartney has announced a North American leg of the 'Got Back 2025' tour.
