Captured: FBI Apprehends Cindy Rodriguez Singh in India for Alleged Murder of Son

The FBI recently apprehended Cindy Rodriguez Singh, who was on the FBI's "Ten Most Wanted Fugitives" list, in India for the alleged murder of her 6-year-old son. Rodriguez Singh faced federal and state warrants related to the murder of her child, Noel Rodriguez Alvarez. She fled the United States to avoid prosecution.

An INTERPOL Red Notice was issued for Rodriguez Singh on October 3, 2024, and an extradition packet was submitted to all member countries, including India. With the cooperation of Indian authorities and INTERPOL, the FBI arrested Rodriguez Singh in India and is in the process of extraditing her to the United States to face charges in Texas.

FBI Director Kash Patel emphasized the importance of the Ten Most Wanted list in capturing fugitives like Rodriguez Singh, who attempted to evade justice by fleeing overseas. Patel highlighted the FBI's commitment to pursuing individuals who harm the innocent and ensuring they face accountability for their actions.

In March 2023, the Everman, Texas, Police Department conducted a welfare check on Rodriguez Singh's son, who had not been seen since October 2022. Rodriguez Singh provided false information to investigators, claiming the child was in Mexico with his biological father. Subsequently, Rodriguez Singh and her family left for India, leaving the missing child behind.

Rodriguez Singh faced charges of capital murder and unlawful flight to avoid prosecution in Texas. She was placed on the "most wanted" list in July and is the fourth individual arrested from the list under Patel's leadership. The FBI's efforts, in collaboration with international partners, led to the apprehension of Rodriguez Singh, demonstrating the agency's commitment to seeking justice without borders.
