The Cortege: An Immersive Installation Exploring Grief, Communal Gathering, and Modernity in Los Angeles

An upcoming immersive installation in Los Angeles will delve into themes of grief, communal gathering, and modernity, featuring an original score by producers Tokimonsta, Boreta, and El Búho. The installation, titled The Cortege, offers a three-hour experience that includes an open-air food market, live music, and a processional performance incorporating choreographed movement, puppetry, and robotics. Inspired by Carl Jung's collective unconscious theory, The Cortege aims to explore mythic pageantry, solace, and renewal.
Created by Visomnia and Brilliant Work, The Cortege will feature DJ sets by artists like Carlos Niño and Superposition, providing a space for reflection and celebration. The installation will take place at The Cricket Field at the Los Angeles Equestrian Center from Sept. 11 to Sept. 28, with tickets starting at $87. Don't miss this unique opportunity to engage with art, music, and collective experiences at The Cortege.
