2025 MTV VMAs Lineup: Performances by Sabrina Carpenter, sombr, Alex Warren, and J Balvin with DJ Snake
The 2025 MTV VMAs lineup is set to feature performances by Sabrina Carpenter, sombr, Alex Warren, and J Balvin with DJ Snake. Carpenter is nominated for eight awards, including video of the year for her song "Manchild." Sombr, a rising singer-songwriter-producer, will make his award show debut after being nominated for best new artist and best alternative. Balvin will return to the VMAs stage to perform "Zun Zun" with Justin Quiles and Lenny Tavárez, followed by a collaboration with DJ Snake on "Noventa." Warren, a breakout artist, is nominated for best new artist, best pop, and song of the year.
Lady Gaga leads the nominations with 12 nods, followed by Bruno Mars with 11 and Kendrick Lamar with 10. All three artists are in the running for video of the year. LL Cool J will host the 2025 MTV VMAs, which will take place at New York's UBS Arena on September 7 at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT. The ceremony will be broadcast live on CBS, MTV, and Paramount+ in the U.S. The event will be produced by Gunpowder & Sky, with executive producers including Van Toffler, Bruce Gillmer, Jesse Ignjatovic, and Barb Bialkowski.
