RZA has expressed his desire for Rihanna and ASAP Rocky to continue the tradition of naming their children after Wu-Tang Clan members. While their second child, Riot Rose, deviated from the trend, their first child, RZA Athelaston Mayers, is named after the iconic Wu-Tang leader. This naming tradition is significant for Rocky, whose birth name, Rakim Mayers, pays homage to the legendary MC Rakim. Similarly, his sister, Erica B. Mayers, is named after Rakim's DJ and producer, Eric B.
During the premiere of Nobody 2, RZA suggested that Rihanna and Rocky should consider naming their next child after his late cousin and rapper, Ol' Dirty Bastard, also known as ODB. While the couple has not revealed their third child's name yet, RZA expressed his gratitude for them naming their first child after him, emphasizing that "RZA" is not just a name but a title.
To celebrate baby RZA's first birthday, Rihanna and Rocky threw a Wu-Tang-themed party, with Rihanna dressing up as ODB. In May, Rihanna was spotted with a baby bump, confirming that she and ASAP Rocky were expecting their third child.
