Fashion influencer Kate Bowman recently filed for divorce from former Maroon 5 bassist Mickey Madden after just three months of marriage. Bowman claims that Madden sent explicit text messages to teens, leading to a confrontation where he allegedly became physically aggressive towards her. She cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the divorce filing and detailed instances of physical abuse in the court documents.
Bowman described an incident where Madden grabbed her arms, slammed her against a kitchen counter, and chased her out of their family home in Los Angeles while barely dressed. She stated that Madden physically abused her on the street on two separate occasions. Following the altercation, Madden apologized to Bowman via text and letters, promising to seek help for his sex addiction by going to rehab.
Despite Bowman obtaining a temporary domestic violence restraining order against Madden, her request for him to move out of their home was denied. Madden's legal troubles resurface five years after he left Maroon 5 due to an arrest related to alleged domestic violence and cocaine charges. He had been a member of the band for 26 years before his departure.
