Philadelphia Trio Arrested for Armed Robbery of Brink's Armored Car

Three individuals from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, named Daishaun Hughes-Murchison, Brian Wallace, and Trayvine Jackson, were arrested and charged with robbery interfering with interstate commerce and use of a firearm in connection with an armed robbery of a Brink's armored car. The robbery took place on June 21, 2025, where the perpetrators stole over 2 million dollars. The defendants appeared in court for their initial hearings, with Jackson being detained and Wallace and Hughes-Murchison scheduled for detention hearings later.

On the day of the robbery, the Brink's armored car driver was ambushed by two armed men while nearing a Home Depot in Philadelphia. The robbers disarmed the driver, took his keys, and stole a significant amount of cash from the armored vehicle. They fled the scene in a black Hyundai Sonata and a silver Ford Fusion, which were linked to the defendants through vehicle ownership and cell phone records.

Investigations revealed that the Ford Fusion belonged to Hughes-Murchison, while Wallace had rented the Hyundai Sonata used in the robbery. Surveillance footage and cell phone records placed the defendants in the vicinity of the crime scene and the car rental site at the time of the robbery. Additionally, Brink's informed investigators that Jackson had been a former employee who was terminated after an internal investigation.

The FBI Philadelphia Violent Crimes Task Force and the Philadelphia Police Department conducted the investigation, with Assistant United States Attorney Amanda R. Reinitz prosecuting the case. The charges against the defendants are allegations, and they are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
