The server followed her into the women's bathroom, banged on the stall door, and demanded that she prove her gender by unzipping her hoodie to show her breasts. Gender Justice emphasized that such behavior is not only wrong but also unlawful under Minnesota law, which protects individuals from discrimination in public spaces. Sara Jane Baldwin, a senior staff attorney at Gender Justice, condemned the incident and stressed that no one should be subjected to such humiliation or forced to prove their identity just to use a restroom.
