Teenager Files Discrimination Charge Against Buffalo Wild Wings for Harassment Incident

A discrimination charge was filed by Gender Justice on behalf of a teenager who experienced harassment at a Buffalo Wild Wings in Owatonna. The incident involved a biracial 18-year-old woman who was accused of being a boy in the girls' bathroom by a server. The server followed her into the women's bathroom, banged on the stall door, and demanded that she prove her gender by unzipping her hoodie to show her breasts. Gender Justice emphasized that such behavior is not only wrong but also unlawful under Minnesota law, which protects individuals from discrimination in public spaces. Sara Jane Baldwin, a senior staff attorney at Gender Justice, condemned the incident and stressed that no one should be subjected to such humiliation or forced to prove their identity just to use a restroom.

Buffalo Wild Wings was contacted by KARE 11 for a statement regarding the incident, and the story will be updated with their response.
