The Jonas Brothers kicked off their Jonas20: Greetings from Your Hometown Tour with a bang at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. The band, made up of Joe, Nick, and Kevin Jonas, surprised fans with special guests during the show, including Demi Lovato. Lovato and the Jonas Brothers previously starred in the Disney Channel movie Camp Rock, where they played love interests onscreen and had a real-life romance in 2010. They performed songs from the movie at the concert, which quickly went viral on social media.
The movie Camp Rock follows Mitchie Torres, played by Lovato, who dreams of attending a music camp but has to work in the kitchen to help her mom. When teen idol Shane Gray, played by Joe Jonas, hears her sing, he sets out to find her. The special performance at the concert brought back memories for fans of the movie.
In addition to Lovato, the Jonas Brothers also had other surprise guests at the opening night of their tour. Switchfoot performed “Meant to Live” and “Hold On,” Jesse McCartney sang “Beautiful Soul,” and Dean Lewis performed “Loved You Better.” The band also invited their family, including youngest brother Franklin Jonas, mom Denise Jonas, and dad Kevin Jonas Sr., to join them on stage for a special performance of their song “When You Look Me in the Eyes.”
