Jackson Police Apprehend Suspect in Quadruple Homicide Case Near Reelfoot Lake

A suspect accused of killing four family members in Northwest Tennessee has been apprehended by the Jackson Police Department. Austin Drummond, 28, faced multiple charges in connection with the quadruple homicide near Reelfoot Lake in Lake County. Drummond was captured in Jackson after being spotted on surveillance video and his getaway vehicle was found abandoned in a wooded area in the same city.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has charged three individuals in Jackson for allegedly assisting Drummond after the murders: Derrah Sanders, Tanaka Brown, and Giovonti Thomas. They are facing charges related to being accessories after the fact of first-degree murder and tampering with evidence.

The victims of the tragic incident were identified as a young couple, their baby's grandmother, and uncle. The circumstances surrounding their deaths remain unclear, and the manhunt for Drummond involved multiple law enforcement agencies offering a substantial reward for information leading to his capture.

A GoFundMe page has been set up to support the family with funeral and legal expenses. The community has come together to provide assistance during this difficult time.
