Remembering Maureen Anne Maguire: A Tribute to a Life Well-Lived

Ed Kelce is reminiscing about the past through photos as he grieves the loss of his girlfriend, Maureen Anne Maguire. The father of Travis and Jason Kelce shared a throwback picture of himself with Taylor Swift and Maureen, who passed away at the age of 74. The image, uploaded to Maureen's obituary page, shows Ed, Maureen, and Taylor Swift smiling together in Kansas City Chiefs attire, supporting Travis' team.

In an interview with the Los Angeles Times in February 2024, Ed shared a funny interaction between Maureen and Taylor Swift when they first met. Maureen jokingly claimed Ed as her boyfriend while posing for a picture with Swift, which led to laughter between the two. Ed also revealed on Audacy's 92.3 The Fan in Cleveland in January 2024 that he initially couldn't remember Swift's name during an early encounter at Travis' home, and Maureen had to remind him who she was.

On August 2, Ed announced Maureen's passing by sharing a link to her obituary on his personal Facebook page. The obituary described Maureen as a devoted mother with impeccable taste and Ed as her beloved friend. It mentioned how Maureen enjoyed attending games with Ed and developed a love for football later in life, sharing many adventures with him.

Maureen was known as a natural hostess who threw the best parties filled with warmth, laughter, and delicious food. Ed, who was previously married to Donna Kelce for 25 years, explained in a documentary that they stayed together for their sons' sake. Maureen is survived by three children, six grandchildren, her brother John, and her sister Loretta. Together, Ed and Maureen embraced life to the fullest, traveling, attending football games, and enjoying every opportunity that came their way.
