Attempted Murder Suspect D'Architray L. Sapp Apprehended After Two-Year Run
An attempted murder suspect, D’Architray L. Sapp, was apprehended by the Winter Haven Police Department after being on the run for over two years. Sapp, 27, was wanted on an attempted first-degree murder warrant and was found at the Abbey Lane Apartments in Winter Haven. When officers located Sapp at the apartment complex, he attempted to flee but was eventually subdued and arrested. Despite a brief struggle during the arrest, no officers were injured. Sapp now faces multiple charges, including attempted first-degree murder, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and battery on a law enforcement officer. The Winter Haven Police Chief commended the officers for their handling of the situation and ensuring Sapp was taken into custody safely. Sapp was taken to the Polk County Sheriff’s Processing Center for further processing and legal proceedings.
