Title: "Man Asked to Leave MLS Game for Wearing 'Make America Great Again' Hat: A Controversial Incident at Energizer Park

A man attending a recent Major League Soccer game was asked to leave the stadium for wearing a red "Make America Great Again" hat. The incident was captured in a video posted on social media where the man identified himself as Michael Weitzel.

Weitzel engaged in a conversation with security personnel and law enforcement officers, stating that he was asked to leave because of the Donald Trump hat he was wearing. The security team at Energizer Park, St. Louis City SC's home stadium, mentioned that the venue was non-political and did not allow any political messaging.

Despite pointing out other fans holding flags as political items, Weitzel was informed that those items were pre-approved. The rules at Energizer Park prohibited political banners but did not mention anything about hats.

Weitzel questioned the consistency of the policies and expressed concerns about being threatened with arrest and eviction from the premises. He eventually removed his hat to return to his seat but was told it was too late. Weitzel then put the hat back on, stating that wearing a Donald Trump hat at a St. Louis City SC game led to his removal.

St. Louis City SC did not issue any public statements regarding the incident, and Fox News Digital reached out to the team for comment. The team currently holds the No. 14 spot in the MLS Western Conference standings.
