Olympic Gold Medalist Sha'Carri Richardson Arrested for Alleged Assault at Seattle-Tacoma Airport

Sha'Carri Richardson, an Olympic gold medalist from Dallas, was arrested at the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport for allegedly assaulting her boyfriend, fellow Olympian Christian Coleman, during a heated argument. Security footage at the airport captured Richardson and Coleman engaging in a verbal altercation as they exited security screening. Richardson followed Coleman, pushing him multiple times and even throwing a pair of headphones at him, hitting him. The police arrested Richardson on a charge of domestic violence assault based on the security footage. Coleman did not want to participate in the investigation and declined to be a victim. Richardson was booked into the South Correctional Entity Jail and released the following day. Richardson had won a gold medal in the 4x100m relay and a silver medal in the 100m sprint at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
