Taehyung Named Ambassador for Coke Zero in South Korea: Exploring the #BestCokeEver Campaign and Coca-Cola's Local Initiatives

BTS member Taehyung has been chosen as the new ambassador for Coke Zero in South Korea, launching the #BestCokeEver campaign managed by Coca-Cola Korea, a subsidiary of LG Household & Health Care. The Korean company has been overseeing local operations since 2007, keeping profits within the country's economy. Despite online rumors, Coca-Cola clarified that it does not support any specific nation, political cause, or religious belief, with no record of donations to Israel.
Coca-Cola operates in over 200 regions worldwide, including Palestine since 1998, with four plants and seven distribution centers, employing around 970 Palestinians and supporting over 10,000 others. Taehyung's involvement in the campaign is part of a local initiative managed solely by Coca-Cola Korea, separate from the global branches of the company.
In a previous incident, Taehyung faced backlash for sharing an Instagram post featuring a McDonald's fry packet during a boycott of the fast-food chain due to alleged donations to Israeli forces. The post led to a significant drop in followers for the singer, sparking debates about corporate responsibility and individual awareness of global issues. Despite the controversy, Taehyung hinted at an upcoming surprise for fans in August during a recent Weverse live session, teasing ARMYs with exciting news to come.
