Tragic Double Homicide at Devil's Den State Park: Suspect Apprehended in Connection with Deaths of Married Couple

A suspect has been apprehended in connection with the tragic deaths of a married couple who were attacked and killed while hiking with their two young daughters at Devil’s Den State Park in the Ozark Mountains, Arkansas. James Andrew McGann, 28, has been arrested and faces two counts of capital murder. The victims, Clinton David Brink, 43, and Cristen Amanda Brink, 41, were found dead on a walking trail in the state park. The couple's daughters, aged 7 and 9, were unharmed and are currently with relatives. Law enforcement presence has been heightened at state parks in Arkansas following the incident.

The Brinks had recently relocated to Prairie Grove, a small town near the Oklahoma border. The family has requested privacy during this difficult time. Authorities had released a photo and sketch of a man seen in the park on the day of the incident and had urged the public to provide any relevant information. The killings occurred in a remote area of Devil’s Den State Park known for its rugged natural beauty.

The bodies of the victims were discovered on the Devil’s Den Trail, a 1.5-mile loop trail of moderate difficulty. First responders heard calls for help while searching the trail and eventually located the victims. The investigation into the double homicide is ongoing, and further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
