Albertsons Stadium Transforms for Post Malone and Jelly Roll Concert: A Behind-the-Scenes Look at the Venue's Biggest Production Yet

Albertsons Stadium is undergoing a massive transformation this week to prepare for the upcoming Post Malone and Jelly Roll concert, which is set to be the venue's most significant production to date. Nathan Burk, the senior athletic director of operations at Boise State, highlighted the extensive preparations that have been underway for months leading up to the event. The week leading up to the concert has seen crews working tirelessly to set up gates, security checkpoints, and cover the iconic blue turf with protective decking to ensure playable conditions post-concert.
The stage construction for the concert began on Friday, June 20, with a three-day process in front of the north end zone. Post Malone's production, which includes elaborate lighting and sound setups not typically seen during football games, is expected to offer a unique experience for concert-goers. Burk emphasized the importance of treating the concert as a distinct event and expressed hopes that the success of this show would attract more top-tier artists to Boise in the future.
With the concert nearing a sell-out, attendance could reach up to 38,000 people if all tickets are sold and seats are filled. Additional seating has been added on the floor to accommodate more attendees. Gates will open at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, with the show scheduled to start at 6:30 p.m. The concert promises to be a memorable experience for all attendees, showcasing the stadium's versatility in hosting large-scale events beyond football games.
