A tragic incident occurred in Nashville over the weekend as an elderly woman was fatally struck by a truck. The driver involved in the accident was identified as country singer Conner Smith. The unfortunate incident took place when the 77-year-old woman, Dorothy Dobbins, was crossing the street and was hit by a Chevy Silverado driven by Conner on 3rd Ave. Despite being rushed to Vanderbilt Medical Center, Dobbins did not survive.

The authorities reported that Dobbins was in a marked crosswalk at the time of the accident, and it is believed that Conner failed to yield to the pedestrian, leading to the collision.
