Tragedy Strikes at Camp Bullfrog Lake: Remembering Asael Gonzalez-Guel

A tragic incident occurred at Camp Bullfrog Lake in Willow Springs, Illinois, where a 12-year-old boy lost his life after falling into the lake. The incident took place on the evening of June 6, when the boy and his 9-year-old brother were near the water's edge. Witnesses reported that both children ended up in the lake, but only the older brother went underwater and did not resurface until he was pulled to shore by nearby fishermen.

Upon arrival of first responders, the boy was unresponsive and was rushed to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 8:21 p.m. The victim was identified as Asael Gonzalez-Guel, and as of June 8, the cause of his death has not been disclosed. Willow Springs, located approximately 20 miles southwest of downtown Chicago, was the site of this tragic incident.
